In The Little Prince - A journey to the stars, each player takes control of a plane and goes in search of The Little Prince. In the wake of the Little Daughter from Mark Osborne's animated film, players embark on a wonderful journey into space. Leaving the Grandfather's house, the aviators crossed the borders of the imagination and tried to reach the Little Prince's planet. Will they all succeed?
Throughout the course, pilots catch stars in the clouds or on the history sheets. At the end of the game, the player with the most stars is declared the winner. The goal of the game is to move your plane forward by stopping at the right places to collect the stars. To do this, at the beginning of the game, the same batch of eight Fox cards is dealt to each player. In turn, an aviator places a card with his hand in front of him and moves his aircraft as many clouds as the number on the card, or less. There are three types of clouds: Clouds offering stars, Bird Clouds, offering new maps to advance further, Telescope Clouds whose effect is a surprise.
At three moments of the trip, the aviators immerse themselves in the Little Girl's imagination and rediscover pages of the Little Prince's history. Each player who crosses one of these borders wins a History tile. The first one to cross a passage has a choice of six tiles. The next ones will have to settle for what's left. When an aircraft lands on a cloud where there is already another aircraft, the player exchanges a card from his hand with a card randomly picked from his opponent's hand.
It is the player who is furthest from the finish (the furthest behind) who advances his plane. So no pilot stays behind. This unusual rule provides a small tactical depth to the game. Indeed, the same aviator can play several times in a row if he is, and remains the last on the track. It can thus benefit from the effect of several clouds. However, we must try to cross the frontiers of the imagination in the former in order to have a wider choice of History tiles. So you have to be in the last position at the right time. Similarly, a bonus is granted to the first to arrive on the Little Prince's planet.
