Some thought that with the destruction of the Deep Village, peace had returned to Normandy and the shadows of Madness had dispersed. In the shadows, new pawns were moving around and threatening this appearance of "peace". The war continued elsewhere in a more "conventional" way. From the misty nooks and crannies of the Norman countryside, the Sons of Cthulhu begin to chant their dark prayers to their god, who is just as much of a god. In villages deserted by war, a sick scientist conducts terrible experiments on the fallen. A new life seems to rise, accompanied by the rumbling of those who should no longer walk.
To combat these horrors, a new investigator brings his grimoires, loaded with spells and incantations, each more disturbing than the last. Be careful that they don't fall into the wrong hands or "Cthulhu" knows what horrors will cross the mystical barriers of our world ... why not a Shoggoth? You need the basic box of Shadows over Normandy to play this expansion.

Shadows over Normandie was funded on the Crowdfunding Kickstarter (See the campaign) platform on the Jul 25, 2014, the campaign lasted 22 days. 1,608 people helped funded the game, whose the amount requested was £5,000.00. Thanks to these 1,608 people the game could be funded up to £161,183.26, ~3,223.67%.
