A heinous crime has been committed. A team of the finest bloodhounds in the Kingdom has been assembled and put in charge of the case. They have a suspect, they have a motive, and they know the opportunity to commit the crime. Now all they have to do is prove it. Using communication and deduction, the players team up to eradicate false leads and find clues to prove who, how and why. All relevant clues are available to them. They just don't know it. To top it all off, Sherlock Holmes himself is on the case. Will they be able to solve the crime before he does?
Starting from Beyond Baker Street, players select one of the crimes to be solved and then a number of suspects, motives and opportunities will be available to the players to solve the case. Each player holds a set of five clues, but they will not be able to see their own clues, only those of their colleagues. Each round, players can : Help another detective, Investigate the crime scene, Confirm a clue, Eliminate a false lead, and Pursue a new lead.
Players win together if they can gather enough evidence to convict the murderer before Holmes gets there, or lose if they panic under pressure.
