GrandBois is a game of laying tiles with a secret identity in a colourful and very family atmosphere. At the beginning of the game, each player receives at random a card representing one of the 5 available clans (Raccoon, Fox, Lizard, Lizard, Rabbit Mouse, Turtle Toad). He will keep this card secret throughout the game. A river of 4 forest tiles is placed on the table. In turn, each player chooses one of these tiles to enlarge the forest already present. The rule of installation is simple: we must cover fewer animals than those present on our tile. 3 foxes can therefore land on 1 or 2 lizards for example. The game stops when all the tiles have been laid.
Strong points: Pretty colorful and immersive illustrations, A simple and original tile laying mechanism, A depth of play thanks to the hidden roles, the placement of bears and guard towers, An ideal game for a family audience.
