In the fast-paced, zany family game Galaxy Trucker, players begin by simultaneously scavenging the common warehouse, frantically trying to grab the most useful component tiles to build their spaceship - all in real time. Once the ships are launched, players face dangerous situations while competing for financial opportunities, each hoping to get the most valuable cargo and end up with as much of their ship as possible still intact. Of course, this is easier said than done, as many dangers will send pieces of your ship, cargo and crew into the depths of space.
The goal is to survive the journey - hopefully with at least some of your crew and ship intact - and have at least one credit at the end of the game. (Players earn credits by delivering cargo, defeating pirates, having the best looking ship and reaching their destination before others.
This version of Galaxy Trucker is a re-launch of the original 2007 version by Vlaada Chvátil that features new artwork, more ship tiles, modified card effects and a simplified game that consists of a single flight into space. That said, if you want a longer and more challenging experience, you can play a three-flight game known as "Transgalactic Trek".
