French - 1861. La guerre de sécession fait rage. L’Union, avec à sa tête Abraham Lincoln, est opposée à la Confédération de Jefferson Davis. Au milieu de ce conflit, 5 états frontaliers, appelés les Border States (Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri et Virginie-Occidentale), sont tiraillés entre abolitionnistes et esclavagistes. Ce sont eux qui peuvent faire basculer le cours de la guerre.
