It is the summer of 1944. The sun is shining on the hedgerows of Normandy. A gentle wind, fields of bright flowers, and in the background the romantic staccato of machine gun fire in the morning. In this typical French countryside, thousands of men are about to fight. And die. Bravely as heroes, or cowardly as wimps. But only the heroes really count. The ones you see in the war films of Hollywood's golden age. That's the inspiration for Heroes of Normandy, that's what the game has to offer: explosive, fast-paced battles, the thrill of slaughtering your enemies through walls of MG42 lead, and the chance to crush Nazi bastards with tons of shells - basically, blood and guts.
A miniatures game without miniatures, Heroes of Normandy is a fast-paced World War II strategy game inspired by Hollywood war movies. This tactical scale board game pits two players and two armies, with the Germans on one side and the Americans on the other. Players use order tokens to determine initiative and to bluff. While a single six-sided die determines combat, action cards are played to spice things up. Secretly plan your attacks and outsmart your opponent. Block your opponent's strategy and surprise your enemies. Deploy your units and don't turn back!
