Each player takes a cave, 12 Hunter cards and 8 Totem tokens of one color, and a player aid card. Each player shuffles their Hunter cards and creates a stack next to their cave. Then, they draw 3 cards as their starting hand, which they can look at, without showing them to the other players.

Chaque joueur prend la Grotte, les 12 cartes Chasseur, les 8 jetons Totem d’une même couleur et 1 carte Aide de jeu. Chaque joueur mélange ses cartes Chasseur pour constituer une pioche qu’il place face cachée à proximité de sa Grotte. Puis il pioche 3 cartes pour former sa main de départ qu’il regarde sans la montrer aux autres joueurs.
