As Sinbad's children, you have set yourself a new challenge: to explore the 1001 islands and find the treasures of your father, the great sailor. 1001 Islands is a tile selection and distribution game in which you score points by matching your dream tiles and island tiles as best you can. A game lasts 16 rounds, with each player adding a tile to their personal board to build their island or collect dream tiles, and then the players keep score.
In more detail, when you are the active player, you draw as many tiles as the number of players, keep one and play it on your board, then pass the remaining tiles to the player of your choice. The player who receives the last tile does not have a choice, but starts the next round. Dream tiles earn you points according to what is visible on your island at the end of the game, so don't take a Fennec Fox dream tile if your island has no Fennec Foxes! Palm trees score points by themselves, as does the combination of a Rukh bird and its huge egg. If you have too many bandits, you lose points - and if you collect a third magic lamp, you must turn two tiles face down, which costs you the points you would have received.
